Welcome to the ninth Turning a New Leaf sustainable landscaping conference. In a time that has felt anything but normal we dedicate the 2021 conference to "Planting a New Normal" , with the goal of highlighting collaborations that normalize sustainable practices and ensure diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.

We believe that landscape professionals have a unique opportunity to effect positive change in the Chesapeake Bay region- a task best achieved when we work together. Join us as we work together to create a healthier, and more equitable, watershed.

A co-owner and operator of Thistle and Rose LLC. Providing Richmond city and surrounding areas with residential landscape and garden services. Helping property owners re imagine their landscape possibilities and maintaining current gardens.  Finding the balance between traditional and modern styles while putting sustainable techniques into practice.
I found my way into horticulture by way of growing food on organic farms. Upon living in Richmond I helped organize a community garden while I attended horticulture classes through J sergeant Reynolds community college and working part time as a landscaper.
I've since spent time my time working with other Richmond area residents specializing in landscape and garden services through my business Thistle & Rose. Helping turn clients spaces into sustainable gardens and outdoor living spaces. In addition I have also been working with Monticello's Center For Historic Plants as a nursery associate and gardener at Tufton Farm.
